24: It's fast, it's exciting, it's extreme

24 is back for a fifth season, and it's wilder than ever.

So here we have an alternate reality where nukes go off on American soil, terrorists succeed in bringing down Air Force One, and presidents are assassinated with alarming frequency. Everything we're afraid will happen is constantly coming true. Given today's total political preoccupation with terrorism, 24 is as topical as this week, and as serious as a heart attack.

Still obsessed with La Femme Nikita... and Roy Dupuis

Back in July, a member of my Lostreviews list recommended I try La Femme Nikita (thanks, Katherine). I Netflixed it. By the time I reached the third disk, I realized I had to have all of it, now, now, now -- so I went out and bought the first three seasons. I watched several episodes a day until I reached the end of season three. And then I watched them again.

Happy new year!

I finished season one of Veronica Mars. I was impressed. And now comes the long wait until season two is released on DVD. I just have one question. Would someone let me know if Logan is alive and in season two? I don't want to check a VM site and expose myself to too many spoilers... but I don't think I can wait until next fall to find out.
