  1. So I tried Call the Midwife a few weeks ago, and was immediately hooked. As I was nearing the fourth season on Netflix, which is all there is, I started searching around for when the fifth season airs. And voila. It's today.

There are so few shows that are centered entirely on the lives of women, with only a couple of male characters thrown in. In fact, I'm trying to think of some, and coming up with only Orange is the New Black and The L Word. What am I forgetting?

  2. I'm excited for Game Of Thrones, I'm finally up to date so no more spoilers! I'm hoping Preacher is good because the comics are my favourite thing ever! And I'm unsure about Wayward Pines, I liked moments of the first season but the ending was disappointing.

  3. Orphan Black, yay! Season three was not as good as I expected, but it was an improvement over season two, and I'll definitely be there for more Tatiana Maslany and her Scooby Gang of Tatianas Maslany.

  4. Billie, I think Orphan Black could fall into that category. The men are not the focus of the story, nor are they the ones in power, which is one of the reasons it's a favorite of mine.

  5. "Containment" also premieres on April 19 on the CW. It has Claudia Black from Farscape. Yea. 12 Monkeys is a great adaptation of one of my favorite movies. The actors in it are all very good. Call the Midwife isn't as good as its earlier seasons, but still very watchable. Orphan Black is always a hoot. Where are these Mangoes?

  6. What's funny about Orphan Black is that it has more male cast members than female cast members but WAY more female characters than male characters. Oh, Tatiana, what are we going to do with you and your irrepressible talent?

  7. Thank you, Mallena! I added Containment to the list.
