Should not have touched her. That makes Pullo attractive as a human being.

I agree about the slavery - horrible! It's mostly background, but I try to include pertinent quotes and I will go into it a bit more in my review on Utica.Victoria Grossackhttp://www.tapestryofbronze.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-15002133591996410862016-11-29T02:48:29.763-05:002016-11-29T02:48:29.763-05:00I'm enjoying your reviews. Now maybe I'll get around to finishing the first season.

Caesar's speech to the 13th Legion at the end of this episode is epic; Ciaran Hinds is even better here than he was on Game of Thrones.

The relationship dynamic between Vorenus and Niobe is fascinating yet cringeworthy.

I feel like I should kind of hate the guy, but Titus Pullo is my favorite character. He's ridiculously lovable for a savage warrior.

Octavia does seem whiny. But can ya really blame her? Her mom just crushed her dreams of romantic teen love and pimped her out to Pompey's wrinkly ass for NOTHING.

The casualness with which slavery and the abuse of slaves is portrayed is really striking. I have to keep reminding myself that the show is freakin' Rome.Logan Coxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04927158558530539708noreply@blogger.com
