What a douche, though one perspective that makes me almost sympathetic is the reason that he refuses to let them commit sudoku is because he too keeps being refused the right to die and discard a life he has no intent to continue enduring. I'm not sure if they actually touched on that though or whether he keeps them alive entirely out of spite.

I really liked that Callahan lived through, I kept sadly thinking "yep, he's a goner" like 2 or 3 times and was (happy to be) wrong lol, although it should've been a giveaway that he wouldn't keep being tossed around in the end there like all the Supernatural fights if he was gonna die. But you never know. Also loved the brief union with Callahan and the boiled-faced guy... and so cool that he snuck in to do what should've been done much earlier. They picked the perfect actor for Trimble's personality. Guy was perfectly hateable.

I liked this one a lot, my favourite since the achingly based Final Repose.Onigirlihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10070327483035350298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-15077782271915375572014-06-15T22:02:13.204-04:002014-06-15T22:02:13.204-04:00This episode left me feeling conflicted. While I abhor the horrors of war and the fact that it is often the 'grunts' who take the brunt of the violence - not to mention civilians in other countries, I just couldn't accept that killing people's families equated. Bitterness to the nth degree made manifest was a particularly ugly sight and I couldn't feel any sympathy for Trimble at all. I guess if you go into war a psychopath you come out the same way was all I could come up with. Then again I could never blow away the family of an enemy either so I would make a very poor soldier.drnanamomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03667806039402426676noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-57662534888032919772014-05-24T06:30:23.896-04:002014-05-24T06:30:23.896-04:00For some reason I can barely remember this one, an...For some reason I can barely remember this one, and it's sort of mixed up in my head with an old episode of Quantum Leap guest starring Jennifer Aniston. And, for a change, not Mulder and Scully. Watching those whom Trimble have targeted is terrifying. And, you're right in your point about the horror of the deaths in this episode.
