I am learning a lot from yours and others reviews.drnanamomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03667806039402426676noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-88371839412293820872014-09-28T06:53:36.783-04:002014-09-28T06:53:36.783-04:00Thanks Heather :) When I was a teenager, I actuall...Thanks Heather :) When I was a teenager, I actually stopped watching around the beginning of season four, for various reasons, and picked up the rest in a big binge watch when my brother got me the DVDs a few years ago, so I'm really interested to put it all together, sort of, and trying to ignore the weird imaginary line in my head between "old X-Files" (the stuff I watched as a teenager) and "later X-Files" (what I watched in my late 20s, but is really not much newer!)Juliettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00203399623895589924noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-27114377995785670812014-09-27T11:38:24.745-04:002014-09-27T11:38:24.745-04:00Juliette:

It does feel like ultimately they left money on the table, even though it was a serviceable episode. But I love your analysis of the structures of the show and reading this (plus Chris' recent review) just made me so happy to be a part of this rewatch. We are, imo, in the heart of the time period where TXF was close... but still yet to reach its peak and I can't wait to see where this all goes from here! :) Great job!Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13953652907115935895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-53157900480368730482014-09-27T10:45:17.154-04:002014-09-27T10:45:17.154-04:00I agree that the idea of Scully's greatest fea...I agree that the idea of Scully's greatest fear being that Mulder would betray her is something that should have been explored in much more depth.

I like the fact that it is her mom who finally manages to talk Scully down. Mulder's face is interesting -- he is relieved that Scully is no longer holding a gun on him, but he is hurt that she won't listen to him.ChrisBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10843864158239536750noreply@blogger.com
