It's been exactly the same amount of time for both Frank and Claire, and that beautiful scene at the stones made me think they might at least hear each other's voices. And no.

Frank's encounter with the thieves was indeed disconcerting. He has a temper, after all. The cops think that Claire left Frank for another man, the Highlander that Frank saw in front of the B&B. The sketch looks like Jamie, and the idea that Jamie's ghost was outside the B&B looking for Claire before she came to his time is also disconcerting. The cops are right. Claire did leave Frank for Jamie, although she didn't do it deliberately.

I liked the bit where Claire admitted to Jamie that their relationship wasn't a typical one. And where he insisted she learn to use a dagger to defend herself. A shame that she didn't get to use it on Randall.Billie Douxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17141769005175631213noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-59533402842774252402014-10-05T12:32:44.123-04:002014-10-05T12:32:44.123-04:00Six months!? Claire suddenly seen as having been captured by the redcoats was just a bit jarring, especially following the wonderful "Claire and Frank at the stones at different times" scene that you described so well. I understand they probably had to cut stuff to get the time down but it took me out of that wonderful moment a little. No biggie. Just one clunk note in an otherwise wonderful performance.

Jamie suddenly showing up at the window in the nick of time was also abrupt but I can forgive that as I am sure that it will all be explained in Episode 9.

Was it just me or did the wanted poster sketch of the voyeur Frank saw outside the hotel look a lot like Jamie? Whoa!

This show was the pleasant surprise in an otherwise lackluster TV summer. Can't wait for its return. Tempted to buy the book, spoilers be damned.

Thanks for your recaps. See you in April!milostanfieldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12601982445850157037noreply@blogger.com
