Oh, Stringer ... he wanted success ...Heavy episode. Oh, Stringer ... he wanted success in society with his own version of Black Power, and in that, his character is a dark mirror of Marla Daniels. He had these ideas all along (he and Avon talked about their dreams a while back), and promptly started crossing Avon the second he was jailed. But Bell was not a true leader, therefore, the co-op rightly diagnosed a ‚crisees’ in leadership: they had Stringer at the meetings, but Avon pulled the strings, not acknowledging no co-op.

But, how will we go on without Stringer, and, much more important, how will the MCU deal with that untimely death? Hahaha! Their naive celebration reminds me of their gloating about Method Man‘s dawg killing.

Brother Mouzone, for me, is a very artificial character, more like Harvey Keitel as ‚the Cleaner‘. I understand that, should the show end soon, the writers would need closure here and there, but still .. and together with Omar, it gets quite The Bad and The Ugly.

II can‘t wait for the ultimate episode, and am v. glad that good Avon is still with us. I‘m a huge fan of how Wood Harris brings the character to life, his walk, his talk, the gestures, the way he works his lips and mouth, the boyish quality and smirks, and he makes people love him. Stringer just could not do it like that.
But, hold on, Big Sista Brianna still out there!!
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-62131827993726438852018-05-12T08:48:43.620-04:002018-05-12T08:48:43.620-04:00What an exceptional episode, definitely one of the...What an exceptional episode, definitely one of the best in the series. The scene with the view, with Stringer and Avon strolling down memory lane while fully aware that they were betraying each other. And what a death scene for Stringer Bell. Brother Mouzone, Omar Little, well established characters with well established motivations, and Stringer's courage in facing his death in the end.

Where did Stringer go wrong? Stringer often said that it was all "just business." The very moment things started falling apart for Stringer was when he betrayed Avon by allying with Prop Joe, and of course, by having Dee killed. There were a couple of discussions this season about what the point of it all really was. Money? Power? Why did Stringer stay in the game when he kept taking steps to leave it?

I almost feel sorry for Major Crimes, and McNulty in particular. A three year obsession. He finally got Stringer Bell, but he'll never get Stringer Bell.Billie Douxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17141769005175631213noreply@blogger.com
