The music to close out the last few scenes of Daniel's bike-riding and vidya is "Compliance Theme" by Heather McIntosh, NOT original after all but it was for the movie Compliance which I also saw. Good guy.
I loved all the songs ...Oh yeah, Melvin. Good guy.

I loved all the songs so far that closed out the episodes... Sharon Von Etten's "We Are Fine" for the pilot ending, "Shark Fin Blues" by The Drones for the previous's, and the streak wasn't broken with this episode's but it was a straight instrumental and possibly the show's own OST which is gonna make it a little harder to identify. But I really dug it, it had cello.

It was funny the way they were almost playing it as if Amantha thought she was once again eavesdropping on Daniel relieving himself because of the sounds he was making on the exercise ball and jumping on the bed lol. But I think him calling back to her made it clear to her she wasn't interrupting. I wish they did go to the zoo though. Maybe Daniel would've seen parallels though to his incarceration (I know there's a huge difference and it's a sanctuary) and hated it. Speaking of which,

"-- Rutherford Gaines said that we all come from monkeys. Tawney brought Daniel monkey bread. Amantha wanted to take Daniel to the refuge to see the new baboon."
HOW DO I KEEP MISSING THIS OBVIOUS IN-YOUR-FACE THEME. Reviews are still necessary even on a rewatch it seems Dx
monke

As for what you should've rated the episode with I would've liked 3 of that one object he was dicking around with that wasn't the duck whistle, it's like a thing that clacks when you swing it but it's a different funny noise. Just so I could find out the name of it without looking or asking lol

This show fucking rules I need to pace myselfOnigirlihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10070327483035350298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-61310911010969823782016-08-04T12:24:28.805-04:002016-08-04T12:24:28.805-04:00I loved Amantha's defiant almost humor in reac...I loved Amantha's defiant almost humor in reaction to the death threats. It's interesting that threats are all specific toward Amantha and not Daniel now that he's out. I didn't realize that she wasn't already living in town. I wonder how much her life is being disrupted to be closer to Daniel.Mariannahttp://www.mariannahorn.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-83874068276372156902015-08-29T16:34:35.992-04:002015-08-29T16:34:35.992-04:00How about three out of four bird calls? Daniel rocking out with those old hunting calls was really hilarious.

I really like how this episode introduced us to more of the community members --- particularly Mrs. Dean and Bobby Dean --- and let us see more of how the effect of Hannah’s death spiraled out into the wider community. Even as it simultaneously showed us what that community’s need for blood and justice had cost Daniel and Amantha. And much as I revile the Senator, this episode clearly showed that he’s not exactly wrong about Jon’s efforts probably providing false hope and a whole fresh set of grief. He’s certainly got it right on the latter count, because even the tiniest moments of joy and humor in this show are deeply underscored by the pain of all that’s been lost for everyone.

I remember having the same reaction to Jon and Amantha by the river. That scene was so tense because I kept expecting them to find George’s body!

Isn’t it amazing how a piece of music can take you back? To good memories and bad. I was just as transported by hearing Daniel’s old tunes as he was. And then I felt kind of old, realizing that those times were 20 years behind me.Jess Lyndehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14165015932507376656noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-41314867753624846252015-08-29T02:16:45.019-04:002015-08-29T02:16:45.019-04:00Great review of a wonderful show. There's a humaity to him.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-71677801053455657092015-08-28T19:11:21.171-04:002015-08-28T19:11:21.171-04:00You're very welcome, Sooze. :)You're very welcome, Sooze. :)Billie Douxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17141769005175631213noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-7760963471423722202015-08-28T17:52:27.760-04:002015-08-28T17:52:27.760-04:00I'm hooked.
