...Last comment in sept 09, and here's mine now.

First of all, of course, I'm a big fan of both Billie's and Josie's writing style. Please, do NOT change that.

This show lasted 13 episodes only. I just hated.....the sales pitch "Grey's Anatomy in Space". Ahhhhhh, will you stop comparing shows and use a lousy ploy to get audiences. More credit should be given to the public by the majors. SOB !

Yes, people are not perfect, but that's part of the drama. The sets were simply incredible and the tech was based on today's science and its extrapolation. Hey, if it's going to be like that in 40 years, I want to buy a lot on mars for my retirement.

My personal biggest disappointment about this show was.....it's cancellation ! The real mythology was the story between those mysterious artifacts (I don't remember what exact names they gave them; detail). This show has a great potential. I blame the sales pitch. Too bad, the dvd set is in my collection.

The season indeed ended at their arrival on Venus. Being a big fan of astronomy, of course I would have been thrilled to see the rest of the solar system; the FX on this show were very good. Oh heck, I'll rely on my Mac softwares for that.celticmarchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06018881585193380762noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-53462502335333035632009-09-26T02:30:27.852-04:002009-09-26T02:30:27.852-04:00It's taken some time, episode nine to be exact...It's taken some time, episode nine to be exact, but things have moved forward. After being treated to Bear McReary's imaginative work on BSG, where the music truly collaborates with and enhances the dramatic action, the soppy, overwrought musical interludes in Defying Gravity were formulaic, inappropriate and insulting. At least the show prompted a good review, Josie and BD!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-41394863827113805822009-08-04T18:23:42.401-04:002009-08-04T18:23:42.401-04:00Thanks Billie. Thanks Billie.WhyMehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13997185045169059686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-57049564265373191622009-08-04T17:15:41.191-04:002009-08-04T17:15:41.191-04:00No problem on my end, Mark. I like to think we have a similar sarcastically analytic style. :)

WhyMe: Your English seems to be pretty good to me.Billie Douxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17141769005175631213noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-50923988138676763992009-08-04T09:34:22.697-04:002009-08-04T09:34:22.697-04:00I have to humbly disagree with you miss K. The SG...I have to humbly disagree with you miss K. The SGSAH method could work as long as you don't prolong it to much. The point of the method is to give the initial part of the series a little more interest instead of just taking us through a boring slow start these kind have shows must have.

Seems to me that if they give us all the rules throughout the first season and then continue to one of the other methods then this could be a grate show.

Best,
WhyMe

p.s excuse my English.WhyMehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13997185045169059686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-51506322543110678962009-08-04T03:44:03.721-04:002009-08-04T03:44:03.721-04:00I completely lost interest in this show the minute...I completely lost interest in this show the minute everyone started calling it ‘Grey’s Anatomy in Space’. Actually, space is the perfect place for Grey’s Anatomy, that way no one can hear them whinge about why McWhatshisface doesn’t love them anymore.

Nevertheless, great review Billie.Mark Greighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12984193299389764649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-31927823768889243572009-08-03T20:08:30.727-04:002009-08-03T20:08:30.727-04:00Josie, I've read a few reviews of 'Grey...Josie, I've read a few reviews of 'Grey's Anatomy in Space' so far, but yours is the one that made me laugh the hardest. Great work!

I have to say, I don't always mind having to figure out the mystery that other characters already know. It was fun for awhile on 'The Nine,' but then the character angst and melodrama started to overwhelm the slow reveal of the mystery and it got boring. Too bad. It had such an enjoyable pilot.

Anyway, I did not watch this show, nor do I plan to, but I really, really enjoyed your review.
