It seems like they just tell the same jokes every episode. Apparently repetition is hilarious to our UK cousins.

Give Matt Lucas a script he didn't write, however, and he's brilliant. He played a great uberGeek.

Coupling in sitcoms always bothers me. It's almost always inevitable, but never satisfying. Troy and Britta, really? They can't be more different from each other. Jeff and Annie? Jeff doesn't have the patience to get Annie up to speed on what it means to be in his social circle. Now, if Tricia Helfer was to join the cast permanently -- bingo.

It too me a couple of years, but I finally understand the problem everyone has with Chang. His character in Season One was barely tolerable, because he was cast as a professor, but since then he's been a left shoe with no mate. Useless. I liked it, and it was the only reason I could think of why it was getting such a pasting.

I loved that opening too, though a part of me was reacting to Troy and Britta in bed like... well, like some Doctor Who fans react when he snogs people. Not because I don't want them to get together etc (though I'm more of a Jeff/Annie fan) but because it kinda seemed to come out of nowhere!Juliettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00203399623895589924noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-26346426122942863892013-02-26T14:24:05.852-05:002013-02-26T14:24:05.852-05:00Juliette - I doubt enjoyment of the episode is lin...Juliette - I doubt enjoyment of the episode is linked to Doctor Who knowledge, because I loved the episode and have never ten Doctor Who. :)

I actually laughed out loud during this. Several times.

Season 1 Britta makes an appearance. I've missed her. Not that the blonde bimbette we've been dealing with recently is unfunny, but it's good to see her be less of a joke.sunbunnyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08553429350476841139noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-13873250634965688382013-02-26T14:19:54.280-05:002013-02-26T14:19:54.280-05:00I loved this one. More than once.

Interestingly, I have never seen a single episode of Doctor Who, so all those jokes were lost on me. What I loved was the interactions among all the various players. Abed's knowing that Troy would come for him was simply lovely.

I, too, have been wondering about how we are meant to see Jeff and Annie. It's all feeling very coupley without there actually being a couple, but it's fun to watch so I am willing to go with it.ChrisBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10843864158239536750noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-64620735525022409352013-02-26T12:31:09.543-05:002013-02-26T12:31:09.543-05:00There is, Josie, I've been there, it's awe...There is, Josie, I've been there, it's awesome, if somewhat unhealthy Mark Greighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12984193299389764649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-32662307919563616512013-02-26T12:01:25.398-05:002013-02-26T12:01:25.398-05:00There's a Cadbury World?

I have a theory that enjoying this episode depends largely on whether you get all the Doctor Who jokes (I appreciated the bit about hotels and affairs as well, having worked in several of those. Hotels, not affairs).

I didn't think we sold creme eggs all year round though, except in Cadbury World...Juliettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00203399623895589924noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-29301120783279514932013-02-26T10:29:46.488-05:002013-02-26T10:29:46.488-05:00I agree with Mandy, the last 2 minutes were great ...I agree with Mandy, the last 2 minutes were great Community. And so was the swinging ! I was so happy to see Miss Helfer, less with her part; oh heck.

Once again, except for the end, this one made me smiled more than laugh. Am I too difficult ? The change of pace (at the convention centre) was welcome though.

I'm pretty sure we can kiss the movie goodbye.celticmarchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06018881585193380762noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-19118695008872147332013-02-26T10:06:37.089-05:002013-02-26T10:06:37.089-05:00I think one of my favorite parts of this episode w...I think one of my favorite parts of this episode was watching the American version of Inspector Spacetime and seeing Abed's reaction to it.
