About the old suit at the beginning that Clark said his mom made, it is a reference to Superman’s very first appearance in Action Comics way back in 1938. Even the vehicle he stops from crushing the kid is a reference to the cover of that same comic. As to your question about if Clark is immortal, Superman is often portrayed either immortal or at least as aging much slower than humans. I don’t know which is intended to be the case here, but either would account for his youthful appearance outlasting that of Lois and others around him. I don’t think they have recasted Lex Luthor. Based on what he said about Clark and about him also being from a planet that is destroyed, I’m guessing he is a future descendant of Lex who saw the Earth destroyed and blames Superman for however it happened. I’m really excited for this show. I like all the main characters and look forward to continuing to watch! Given that this show seems to be more about how being a superhero impacts a family than vice versa, I was wondering if it would find an audience. We may not be representative of the whole but it makes me feel better about it's chances. Especially since it feels like such a departure from the other Arrowverse shows. The storyline felt more mature, in the best meaning of that word, than the other CW DC shows. There was a little bit of the silly moral equivalence stuff (“not telling me something = lying to me!”) but not a lot of it, and if that doesn’t continue, I’ll be a happy man. The effects were good, the acting was generally good, and I liked the new relationship with Sam Lane.

Can’t wait to see where this all goes!CrimsonLinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08749571238832392897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-5338847376634622512021-02-25T00:07:34.260-05:002021-02-25T00:07:34.260-05:00I liked it.
