Oh before I forget, I just wanna say I absolutely loved the scene where Teddy 'concedes' to the customer (actually 'concedes' shouldn't even be in quotes, Teddy genuinely gave it up there) who points out the better deal Wal-Mart has for a set of tires but somehow gets the guy to buy his more expensive ones anyway, lol. Drunk magic. "My wife don't boss me around. Fuck it!" Really funny, and he seemed so pleased when Teddy thanked him.

I was amused by Daniel's light bewilderment over why on earth his mother would want to know about the shit that kicks around in his head. Though it does kind of come back to therapy like his fight with Chloe touched on. Wanting to be his keeper, even though she really can't. I liked Daniel acknowledging her desire to just be free of it all.

I'm hoping Chloe's stiltedness was intentional. That it was proof that she touchingly but clumsily tried to go back on her assurance that she cannot (will not) save him, by bringing up the urgency of therapy as his only path forward. Maybe it is, I'm not stupid enough to think I'm anything but a deep Daniel apologist, but knowing this series has only taken place a few months entrenches me even further into thinking it's absolutely retarded to force the poor guy to bring his trauma up to the surface again with such immediacy. It might take years of maintaining the smallness of the life he currently has going before he can really feel that hunger and willpower to truly move past it with professional help. Without knowing her like we know the other Paulie residents, Chloe really does seem like she's tryin't'a help him, but I think it was a mistake for her to think if she already knows that the New Canaan Project people have brought up the topic of proper PTSD therapy then it's not her place - as a platonic friend - to push for it. I'm not a very perceptive person myself but I feel like she ought to know like I would that Daniel would be alienated by that. Ah well... but it's perfectly buyable that she would bungle it, as a normal (well, real) person.

I worry about Daniel being fully exonerated bringing about a deep-seated and unrecoverable wrath, because he'd know everything he suffered was something an innocent person wrongly suffered. Though maybe he'll just never believe it, and he'll convince himself though he didn't kill her he still failed to save her. I don't know what to root for, which is the better self-perspective and outcome.

DA Person has the saddest eyes ever. I love watching her. I think Chloe is endgame, she is cool and all, but come on..
Poor, useless Teddy, so like him to pull something like that. Well, at least he didn't kill himself.
Ted and Janet might make it.
Jon is beyond selfless, I hope it pays off.
Two to go..Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
