The line between "wacky history!" and "messing with real lives" is odd. But I think that tension is part and parcel of the show, at least this season: the show as a whole struggles to balance the wacky with the emotional. What I noticed though is that they never use Firestorm anymore. Jax and the Professor are either always apart or they are both stuck on the ship.Patrykhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13662838711958747484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-55668421417257502992017-03-19T03:25:07.070-04:002017-03-19T03:25:07.070-04:00I really enjoyed the chemistry and just the all ar...I really enjoyed the chemistry and just the all around moments between Ray and Thawne! It really worked! I also liked the callbacks to Thawne's time with Cisco and Caitlin. Okay, I really loved every scene with Thawne!Hcckdudehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05821548695896588587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-5110946350937174322017-03-19T01:28:46.532-04:002017-03-19T01:28:46.532-04:00What has happened in the LoT writer's room? I rewound the scene of Martin singing at least 3 times. I loved Ray bounding on the moon and the sad story of Nate's grandfather, which reminded me of Sam and Dean's grandfather on Supernatural. He left his wife and young son, too, never to return to them. I'm glad that Rip is not in charge anymore, it just didn't suit Arthur Darvill. He should be the sweet comic relief, like he was on Doctor Who. That's not a put down, he was so great as Rory, but as Rip, he just seemed pompous.

Congrats on your first review here, Mikey. It was one of their best, and it didn't even have Damien Darhk in it. I actually cared about Henry, even though we knew he would die, even though Nate should have already internalized the time travel stuff. I was also wondering about the actual Apollo 13, but I think that is one of the things about this series that will always drive me nuts.

The Beetlejuice Day-O scene in Mission Control made me laugh more than anything they've done before on this show, ever. Especially when Mick obediently joined in.

Franz Drameh, who plays Jax, is actually British, so I guess there's a reason he did the accent so well. :)Billie Douxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17141769005175631213noreply@blogger.com
