After the "Study in Pink"'s multiple I'm-not-gay,-we're-just-friends interchanges, Watson's interjection makes much more sense in terms of his character.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-78631222418782705612010-08-07T17:43:52.184-04:002010-08-07T17:43:52.184-04:00Gustavo, you’re more than welcome to join. Somewhere in the middle I caught myslef into thinking that this feels more like any other detective story, I don't know they lost that Holmesy touch somewhere along the way. Will tune in next week though anyway...Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03949696135778745588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-65651517452004432832010-08-06T21:07:35.297-04:002010-08-06T21:07:35.297-04:00I can't join the club. I also thou...I’ll second that assessment, Mr Kelly. I also thought that ‘The Blind Banker’ was superior to ‘A Study in Pink’. With this episode Moffat and Gatiss have shown that their Holmes won’t just be a brain box detective with a compulsion to show off. He’s the Victorian adventurer reborn in the 21st century who casually battles murderous swordsmen in his home like it’s an everyday occurrence.

But it looks like we (and all the people we know who also loved it) are going be alone on this one, Paul. Almost everyone else seems to be suffering from a rigorous case of ‘Second Episode Backlash Syndrome’. We should form a club. The I Love ‘The Blind Banker’ Society. Membership will be exclusive to me, you, women who just happen to look like Karen Gillan and Zoe Telford and anyone who doesn’t mind getting the first round in. Interested?

Really looking forward to the final episode (more episodes next time, lads) and finally getting to meet the modern day Bonaparte of crime. Moffat’s promised us something great, an equal to Eric Porter, so they sure as hell better deliver on Sunday.Mark Greighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12984193299389764649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-12161356729705285482010-08-06T14:36:01.533-04:002010-08-06T14:36:01.533-04:00Not really a great episode.
