C'mon now, Xander still deserved to look down on him.

Spike had it coming (and I think he still basically came out on top, proving a point to Buffy and scalding Xander horribly, deserved or not), and to a lesser extent so did Buffy. I didn't like her taking it for granted that her friends would be cool about finding out, even though it was nice to see her old confidence again, but the episode did punish her for it so I'm not gonna pile on.

I'm not holding it against Anya and Spike for rebounding off each other... but I'm not holding it against Xander for being hurt by it and lashing out at Spike accordingly. He bungled everything but he still wanted a relationship (which admittedly I actually think is worse than just leaving someone at the altar lol >.> beg for forgiveness, sure, but to ask to be taken back too? jeez). Now Buffy's hurt reaction makes less sense since she dumped him... but I'll admit I can't understand her side of this romance at all. It's either inconsistent writing or Buffy is genuinely 2deep4me.

@Lamounier: "I can't stand it when Xander challenges Spike to fight back. HE CAN'T, YOU MORON."
Well Spike's been able to fight through the pain before. And bah, I'm not sure Spike would've fought back even without the chip.
"Stop being such a hypocrite."
But that's love... And people in general. We're just too complex for consistency. You ask too much from these characters lol, and especially from these writers. Well I mean, so do I.

Anyway they succeeded in keeping me entertained when I started losing interest in the episode until the Magic Box footage came into play. It was captivating after that. And I admit I got too much enjoyment from reading this review lol. Just keep stringing, just keep stringing, just keep stringing, stringing, string. What do they do? They string... you... alongOnigirlihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10070327483035350298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-84723863492481013672017-11-17T09:56:09.412-05:002017-11-17T09:56:09.412-05:00I love this one. It's so soapy, but it's soapy drama done right.

The montage of Anya trying to get her friends to curse Xander is fun, fun, fun, especially when she angrily tells Willow and Tara to go love men.

I love it when Spike taunts Buffy about exposing their affair to her friends and she is all "whatever, they will deal". Then again, when it happens, it's not all fun and games.

Now, Xander... Jesus Christ, what an idiot. This episode is the epitome of Xander's jerkiness and it's not pretty. The way he treats Spike, referring to him as a thing. Xander, please, you almost married someone that killed/tortured far more people than Spike did, if Spike is a thing then so is she. Stop being such a hypocrite. And, btw, she is a free, single woman, she can have sex with whomever the hell she wants. No wonder Spike spilled the beans, he didn't deserve to be treated like that.

he actually tried to axe Spike, who can't defend himself.

This annoys me to no end. I can't stand it when Xander challenges Spike to fight back. HE CAN'T, YOU MORON.

I like the non-judgemental way Dawn reacts to the news of Buffy and Spike.

All in all, it's good drama. And then in the end Willow and Tara get back together! Yay. At least there is something to be happy about in the midst of all the angst, right?Lamounierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00225447169375363236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-84170631349927761262010-10-24T14:08:51.101-04:002010-10-24T14:08:51.101-04:00"I wasn't sure what 'entropy' mea..."I wasn't sure what 'entropy' meant so I looked it up. And now I'm still not sure what it means."

haha

In a simple definition, "entropy" is a property that measures how messed up something is. As this episode's title, it's a sofisticated word for "confusion" or "mess". It's one of my favorite BtVS episodes titles. And I love the episode as well.Tom Lnoreply@blogger.com
