It's effects are downright cheesy, but it has wit, it has suspense, and it's incredibly quote-able for me. And, yes, dropping Rachel Weisz is reason enough to boycott anything.NomadUKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08446926330764642137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-88885717609437376142019-05-08T01:18:47.702-04:002019-05-08T01:18:47.702-04:00I am completely onboard with your love for this mo...I am completely onboard with your love for this movie. It straddles the line between action-adventure and horror beautifully (speaking as someone who doesn't care one bit for the latter).

I highly recommend the Special Edition DVD if you don't own it already. It has three commentary tracks on it, one with Brendan Fraser commentating solo and one with a charming ensemble trio of Oded Fehr (Ardeth Bay), Kevin Jay O'Connor (Beni), and Arnold Vosloo (Imhotep). They're delightful.Robinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05981582205048173830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-89839569231697218882019-05-07T14:26:38.815-04:002019-05-07T14:26:38.815-04:00I adore this movie. It never fails to thrill.
mazephoenixAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-57172528405550377672019-05-07T11:46:30.707-04:002019-05-07T11:46:30.707-04:00I absolutely loved this movie and still do. The sequel was good too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-44596450266484720392019-05-07T10:48:44.601-04:002019-05-07T10:48:44.601-04:00Thank you! I completely share your love for this movie and agree with everything you've said: I enjoy it much more than the Matrix, which I haven't rewatched nearly as much, agree that this film is the closest to capture the spirit of the original Indiana Jones trilogy, and that the main trio of characters are just a joy to watch. The sequel is also alright with me, and I think that mostly has to do with the fact that we get an encore of the characters.

Now you've really put me in the mood to rewatch it once again :DChrisnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-29117946803489157582019-05-07T09:38:43.823-04:002019-05-07T09:38:43.823-04:00I have never seen this movie.
