This is one of the very first uses of the Sonic Screwdriver, although I went and checked and it was in Fury from the Deep first (which I saw after this one since the animation came out after my binge Who chronological watch). I still find it amusing that JNT felt that the Doctor relied on it too much and had it destroyed in the Visitation! When one sees not only how often the Doctor uses it in the new series and how much stuff it does, it's pretty crazy (one of my complaints about the new show as well).

Philip Madoc is great as always, and Bernard Horsfall is a personal favorite too, both actors I saw in 4th Doctor serials before these earlier series.

It did take the Doctor a bit too long to figure out that the devices moving stuff around were TARDISes, but it was very cool when we as the audience realize that is what they are using, and the implications that means!

A great TARDIS team here, one of the best, and while it ended on a solid note, it's still sad that it occurs. The 2nd Doctor is excellent, and now that I'm watching Hammer horror again after 30+ years, I see mister Troughton in some of them and he's always a treat!Morellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08852528242739450099noreply@blogger.com
