tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post8092551217689358227..comments2024-03-28T10:18:52.493-04:00Comments on Doux Reviews: Farscape: Eat MeBillie Douxhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17141769005175631213noreply@blogger.comBlogger2125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-7707575181079750002019-10-03T18:21:23.964-04:002019-10-03T18:21:23.964-04:00What a grim episode, that ppor pilot being trapped...What a grim episode, that ppor pilot being trapped obonded on a diseased ship which is being eaten alive by zombie like replicated peacekeepers and then also constantly having your own arms eaten.<br /><br />It is obvious that they re-used Pilot puppeet again (as they did in "The Way We Weren't") and understand costs to build a new pilot to same quality would have been prohibitive but maybe could have swapped out eye colour or something to make it a little less obvious.<br /><br />Writers really need to start giving Jools more to do her than scream, she is supposedly highly educated, time to put her to work for the good of the crew<br /><br />Chiana's reaction to seeing her twinned self killed gave Gigi great opportunity to demonstrate her acting range, and the looks on Ben's face when ghe two Crichton's realise they have been twinned is priceless.<br /><br />One really has no choice but to believe what is said and accept that the second D'Argo, Chiana and Crichton are indeed twins and not copies or its too painful to thinkthat perhaps the real D'Argo and Chiana were killed.<br /><br />The two Crichton's story arc and fact that they will have different experiences from here is one of my favourite threads. If you can accept the premise that someone can be twinned with all their memories intact, not to mention their soul, than yeah, good times. The episode is more plot device, than anything else, but what a good plot. The show would not be complete without Aeryn and John getting together and breaking apart multiple times, and this allows that to happen in very dramatic ways.
