I don't know if it will be expanded upon; it might be all the explanation we will get for why everybody just kind of ignores his weird behavior.

I must say, I don't quite get the 'logistics' behind EvilCooper, Dougie and GoodCooper. If I understand correctly, BOB/EvilCooper escaped from the Black Lodge at the end of the original run because GoodCooper showed imperfect courage and was subsequently trapped (though according to Hawk's legend, his soul should have been annihilated). Earlier this season we found out that Douglas Jones has been in existence for years, but not as early as when EvilCooper escaped. It has also been mentioned that Jones was 'created', so he was probably a tulpa.

Then Douglas gets physically pulled into the Black Lodge while GoodCooper escapes the Black Lodge, travels through the White Lodge and emerges into the real world. Meanwhile, inside the Black Lodge, Douglas' body is turned into a floating golden ball...??? and GoodCooper lies on the ground in the real world.

We saw that GoodCooper was of relatively sound mind while he was escaping, and Dougie was as well before he was pulled back into the Black Lodge. But GoodCooper (whom everyone around him is calling Dougie) clearly lost his mind during his escape.

I don't know what this all means, but I'm quite sure that the Cooper currently in Vegas is not in any physical way related to the Jones tulpa. But we don't have enough information. It is only the 5th to last episode, after all... ;)Remcohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18355810571884915463noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-78834408851785384212017-08-15T20:24:30.950-04:002017-08-15T20:24:30.950-04:00David Bowie...*sigh*...and it was nice that they t...David Bowie...*sigh*...and it was nice that they tributed this ep to him.

Great review as always Josie. I really enjoyed this ep, I think it has to do with the lack of Dougie. I can't STAND Dougie! Everyone around him is so self-absorbed and narcissistic that they don't see that he acts like a 2-year-old, but I guess that is all intentional??

And now Dougie is Diane's brother-in-law?

Was I the only one that feared for Andy there for a while???Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
