I have not seen makeup done that well again until the first Hellboy movie came out.Timnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-39139442268304113242013-06-28T15:51:17.361-04:002013-06-28T15:51:17.361-04:00"What care I for human hearts? I remember a friend trying to explain it to me, then giving up and saying "just see it!" Which my sister and I finally did, more convinced because we were told there were unicorns and the whole thing was a "must see". Brilliant creation! But yeah, Jack and Lilly are definitely the weak points, and one of the reasons why I prefer the Princess Bride over this one (Wesley and Buttercup are sooooooo much cooler!). ;o)

I've been waiting for a special edition of this to come out in Europe so I could buy it... but for some strange reason nothing! As with Blade Runner, the director's cut is the superior version of the film.

I actually prefer the original version with the Tangerine Dream score. I found the Director's Cut a bit boring and the pacing was off... plus the music was simply not as interesting to me. This is probably the only time I've agreed with studio interference on a film.Brad Murgenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09513148650073617139noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-10163203727893688982013-06-23T09:22:21.479-04:002013-06-23T09:22:21.479-04:00"The dreams of youth are the regrets of matur..."The dreams of youth are the regrets of maturity." Awesome. I might adopt that one for my next conversations...

Well, a third trip down memory lane.
