For me the effects aren't the problem here; it's just not an engaging or entertaining watch.Morellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08852528242739450099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-67652676758088698922012-08-13T19:27:53.744-04:002012-08-13T19:27:53.744-04:00Just rewatched this one, and found it much less ba...Just rewatched this one, and found it much less bad than the first time round.

Oh it's cheap as hell, but it's got some good characterisation, and it's a nice bit of fluff for the doctor and rose before they get torn apart.

Also, quite cool to hear Huw Edwards doing the commentary for the Olympic Opening Ceremony, having just heard him do the real thing!Trousershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01176781987763125088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-48588248705938066812009-07-11T08:01:48.796-04:002009-07-11T08:01:48.796-04:00Bit of a pointless, filler episode I guess. I think I liked it more when it first aired compared to now.

Rose and the Doctor, yeah they're romantic moments but it's doomed.

Some good guest appearances but overall, a weak eppy.shawnlunn2002https://www.blogger.com/profile/14242367250345323622noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-31731740083432565312009-07-11T02:11:51.500-04:002009-07-11T02:11:51.500-04:00Never seen even a single second of Bonekickers.Never seen even a single second of Bonekickers.Mark Greighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12984193299389764649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-71306672658854550142009-07-10T20:56:29.654-04:002009-07-10T20:56:29.654-04:00Mark, he also created and wrote Bonekickers. Possibly the most boring episode of Doctor Who ever made. And I’ve seen Underworld!

Would’ve been so much better if the Gene Genie had shown up in his Ford Cortina, pushed thr Doctor out of the way and twated that silly scribble monster. Ahhhh, the endless possibilities of one’s imagination. Often the best way to cope with bad television.

The only thing I liked about this episode was Rose’s shocked reaction upon hearing that the Doctor used to be a dad. She certainly didn’t see that one coming.Mark Greighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12984193299389764649noreply@blogger.com
