This is the first of a three episode run leading up to the finale which I don't particularly think is that great.

There are some good things in the Tooms sequel (mainly the courtroom scene and the escalator chase), but there's also a lot I don't find that interesting. Some of the content feels too rehashed from "Squeeze".

My main gripe though is with the old cop, who suddenly remembers a theory of his he conveniently didn't mention the first go around.

On the whole, I don't think there was really enough development for the Tooms character or his story to justify this sequel.

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10716456874876293999noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-91807786392266064202012-04-05T07:27:01.680-04:002012-04-05T07:27:01.680-04:00Yeah, Skinner! I've always considered X-Files more of a horror-fantasy anthology than a sci-fi serial, and I was so pleased the producers allowed Glenn Morgan and James Wong (two of my three favourite X-Files writers) to pop out a sequel to their earlier episode Squeeze. It's as if they were writing their own little series within Chris Carter's.

And isn't Doug Hutchison wonderfully creepy?Dimitri A.C.
