I ...I saw the black and white WB logo and groaned. I am not generally a fan of B&W episodes as they tend to be entirely too corny. I haven't been reading your reviews before I see the episode, as I don't want to spoil anything for myself, but I even went so far as to skip down to your rating to see if I should go ahead and watch it or just skip it. What I should have remembered is that Supernatural constantly surprises me and does everything well. I'm glad I watched. This episode was a hoot! Sure, there was corniness, but it was well done. The over-the-top parts were gloriously hokey and fit so well, that they didn't feel stupid. All in all, a fantastic episode. I'm really glad I gave it a chance.Amy_BobGnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-21391727623951263622024-03-29T05:43:36.177-04:002024-03-29T05:43:36.177-04:00This is not an episode to watch with headphones on...This is not an episode to watch with headphones on. I found Billie's reviews on TV Tome when the shows were originally airing. I then followed along when Billie got her own website.
3 - I'd love to see full reviews of Warehouse 13, How I Met Your Mother, and Greg the Bunny.

Here's to 20 more years!Johnnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-47838588206899221542024-03-28T21:41:33.295-04:002024-03-28T21:41:33.295-04:00Happy 20th Billie and Agents of Doux!

I'm a long time lurker and have been visiting the site since Billie's Lost reviews moved from another site to here (I think late 2004 or early 2005?) I was obsessing over Lost and Billie's reviews were the only ones I could find online with the substance and analysis that I craved. At the time I was rewatching Buffy and Angel, so this site was perfect in complimenting that too (I also participated in the site rewatch about 10 years ago I think??)

3. I would absolutely love reviews for The White Lotus, Domina and the rest of American Horror Story!

4. Could you restart the Doux News articles that you used to post? Really enjoyed reading those!

5. Cats, dogs and pretty much every animal.

Finally, a big thank you for all of the hard work all the reviewers do on this site. I don't comment much, but really appreciate all of the time and effort everyone puts into this site. It's always my go-to site to read reviews of shows and movies that I'm watching. Here's to another 20 years!

SanchoAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-43628864751219310022024-03-28T16:55:19.507-04:002024-03-28T16:55:19.507-04:00I recently started looking back at this show. And yeah still good, but knowing now that it came AFTER the episode with vampires who can actually practice restraint, I wish they had the sense to really shut down the possibility of co-existing peacefully with supernatural afflictions, or at least the werewolf one. Helen Bryce from Smallville... no wonder I always liked her. Well, even though I never said that about this one, that's what happened here to me. Completely memory-holed, and I once again never sussed out that she was dead the whole time. Anyway I really liked this episode, and the unusual way it DIDN'T jump from the teaser victims to Dean and Sam elsewhere. That alone made it captivating, along with the fact that like Dr Johnny Fever above mentioned Molly's basically the best possible POV character to feature the entire episode around. Smart writing call... Damn how could I forget this one?? What else have I missed... this is definitely one to revisit. It has the same almost-cozy ambience as that confused priest "angel" episode a little earlier.Onigirlihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10070327483035350298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13727952.post-48162795010463593322024-03-28T08:31:10.500-04:002024-03-28T08:31:10.500-04:00It's as funny as I remember it lol. That bit where Sam interrupted his kiss with the "classy grad student" was actually even funnier, the way he just had a whole prissy attitude going into it long before his speech devolves into "blah blahs."
