What does this picture mean?

If you’re anything like me, you’re obsessed with cats. But that’s not all! You’re not just a walking embodiment of felinophilia. You are also a bundle of desire, especially when you’ve just finished watching or reading something wonderful. Not content with the happiness you’ve just experienced, you become overwhelmed with what comes next: “I want more! Where is my more?”

In the spirit of more, here’s my list of what I enjoyed in 2016 and what I’m looking forward to in 2017.

Gilmore Girls: Fall

“I’m five by five.”

After Amy Sherman-Palladino’s unexpected departure from Gilmore Girls after the sixth season, she explained to the fandom that she had always known what the final four words of the series would be. And GG fans have been waiting ever since, until this moment, which comes right after the page break…

Gilmore Girls: Summer

"This adult stuff is hard, isn’t it?"

Summer is apparently the time when the problems of Gilmores really show their faces sans make-up or moisturizer and demand to be addressed. Too much sun really does make people crazy.

Gilmore Girls: Spring

"Peaks and valleys, kid. The older you get, the more you have."

‘Spring’, the second installment of A Year in the Life, sees the girls experiencing crucial moments of acceptance. Whether these were in their professional or personal lives, it seems like both Lorelai and Rory are heading into uncharted territory.

Gilmore Girls: Winter

“Haven’t done that for a while.”
“Felt good.”

After almost ten years off the air, Gilmore Girls has returned. Everyone is older, nobody’s much wiser, and Stars Hollow is thinking about switching to a sewer system. I’m so happy we’re back.

Welcome to Stars Hollow, a tiny Connecticut hamlet. It’s Cheers meets Wonderland, with more wackadoo and less beer. It’s also the home of Lorelai and Rory Gilmore, your two new best friends, and the stars of this show.

Mom Lorelai and daughter Rory are the focus of this dramedy, but the supporting players—from grandparents to boyfriends to best friends and colleagues—help bring the wacky, fascinating world of the Gilmores into full relief.

In its original iteration, Gilmore Girls ran for seven seasons, from 2000 to 2007. A limited-run reboot aired on Netflix in 2016.
