House of the Dragon is the much anticipated prequel series to HBO's Game of Thrones. Set at the height of the Targaryen dynasty, it covers the escalating feud that brought the infamous family of mythic white-haired dragon-riders to ruin. It has that stimulating mix of high and low fantasy elements that the previous show helped popularize, as well as great characters, rich costumes and set designs and a plot packed with courtly intrigue and bloody medieval warfare. And dragons. A lot of dragons. House of the Dragon was created by Ryan Condal, and is an adaptation of material from Fire and Blood by George R.R. Martin.
