What if the Lord of the Flies wasn't about preadolescent boys, but instead focused on headstrong, competitive teenage girls? It's an oversimplification, but a somewhat accurate description of Yellowjackets, a mystery/thriller starring an ensemble cast that portray both teenage and adult versions of survivors of a plane crash. Taking place across two timelines, this series chronicles the young group's crash and subsequent fight for survival in the wilderness in 1996, as well as their adult counterparts' struggles to maintain normality in the present.
Anchored by an incredible cast of industry newcomers and vets alike, this show's unique approach to genre bending and character deconstruction stands out amongst other survival thrillers. Buzz buzz buzz!
