Deep Space Nine (1993–1999) is set on a space station near the Bajoran homeworld in the Roddenberry Trek Universe. It's notable for being arguably the most controversial of all the shows in the Trek franchise. Racial, religious, and social themes pervade each episode. Created by Rick Berman and Michael Piller, the show explored the darker side of the future, and was the first Trek spin-off produced without direct involvement from Roddenberry.

Deep Space Nine was reviewed by Joseph Santini (who did the lion's share), Victoria Grossack, CoramDeo, An Honest Fangirl, Juliette, drnananmom, Thomas Ijon Tichy, Mark Greig, and Mikey Heinrich.
