Inspired by the adventures of Arsène Lupin, gentleman-thief Assane Diop sets out to avenge his father for an injustice inflicted by a wealthy family. This Netflix series is set in Paris, alternating between the late 1990s and the current day, but the fictional Lupin – who was created in the early 1900s as France’s riposte to England’s Sherlock Holmes – serves as a code for the show’s heroes.
