2011 Emmy Award Winners and Losers

The Emmys come but once a year. That’s good news for us, as we’re not huge Emmy fans here at billiedoux.com. Our shows never seem to get nominated, although a few of them are in the running this year. Click below for a list of major categories in which one of “our” shows was nominated. Winners are in bold, and the losers will always hold a special place in our hearts.

And: Way to go, Tyrion!

  1. I'll be the first to chant this, but not the last... though I'm probably not the first either....:

  2. Hear hear for Margo Martindale, who absolutely killed on Justified. She so deserved an Emmy.

  3. I'm so happy that Margo Martindale and Peter Dinklage both won.

  4. Yea for Peter Dinklage! But the two wins that made me crazy giddy for a good hour or so (as all you regulars can probably guess) were Jason Katims for Writing on Friday Night Lights and Kyle Chandler (!!!!!) for Lead Actor. I'm beyond elated for these two! Jason Katims was the primary show runner for the series run, and I'm so pleased that he got some recognition, and Kyle Chandler is just an amazing talent and was one-half the heart and soul of that show onscreen. If only Connie could have won, too! But I'll take what I can get.

Clear eyes. Full hearts. Can't lose!

  5. Jess, I am so thrilled about the big wins for FNL too. My husband and are huge fans. Connie really deserved an Emmy, but the win for Katims is awesome since the great writing was rewarded. Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose!
