Star Wars: The Clone Wars

The Clone Wars was an animated spin-off of the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Set between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, the series covered the war between the clone troopers of the Galactic Republic, led by Jedi Knights like Anakin Skywalker and ObiWan Kenobi, and droid armies of the Confederacy of Independent Systems (also known as the Separatists).

The series originally aired on for five seasons Cartoon Network until 2013 when it was cancelled following Disney's takeover of Lucasfilm. A sixth season, made up of episodes already in production when the axe fell, was later released on Netflix. A seventh and final season is currently being released weekly on Disney+.

If you were iffy on the prequels please don't let that put you off The Clone Wars. After a rough start this series exceeds them in every way and is without a shadow of a doubt the definitive Star Wars story of the 21st century.
