Supernatural is getting the anime treatment, according to the Anime News Network. They say that "the anime will be a 22-episode season that will cover the storyline of the live-action version's first two seasons." It will also include stuff not seen in the first two seasons, including Sam's and Dean's childhoods.
Thanks to Patryk for the heads up on this weird and interesting news!
I'm somehow simultaneously pleased and creeped out. I want Supernatural to get the attention it so richly deserves, so any extension of the Supernaturalverse is a good thing. But my not so happy experience with the Buffy comics makes me apprehensive.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely intrigued by this (anime Dean is uncanny, Sam just looks creepy) but share Billie’s apprehension.
ReplyDeleteWonder if it will be voiced by the original cast or by some far cheaper voice artist doing their best Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles impersonations.
I think it will be weird. How can I have a crush on a cartoon?
ReplyDeleteBut I'll probably watch it, anyway.
