Dexter returns! (to Doux Reviews)

As I've posted in several spots, Time Warner Cable and CBS have teamed up to screw over their customers by declaring war, depriving me, as a Los Angeles cable customer, of the final season of Dexter. I only subscribe to Showtime to get Dexter, and I've been frustrated and furious about this.

I gave it a few weeks, but my patience has come to an end. Fuck Time Warner Cable and the horse it rode in on. I'm moving to a new provider tomorrow, and hope to catch up with reviews of the three episodes of Dexter that I missed as quickly as possible.

Thanks so much for the emails and comments!

Is it bad that after reading this, I was like "Billie swore!" and then laughed because I thought it said "Fuck time" not "Fuck Time Warner" and snorted.

I'm not twelve, I promise.

Thank (insert favourite deity here)! I was just about to email you myself yesterday and say that Dexter isn't the same without you. And whether we're fucking Time Warner, or it's simply 'fuck time' (as per Morgan's suggestion), I'm ready to participate heartily.

This is the best news I've heard all day. It's only nine o'clock and I've already had a tragic hair cut and can't find the cereal. Thank you for rescuing my morning.

Way to go, Billie!

I'm tempted to make the switch, too.

Your switching providers is, I believe, the crux of this entire debacle. CBS and Showtime will not lose customers. They provide the shows that people want to watch.

TWC, on the other hand, does not control the viewer in the same way. I wonder how many customers they have lost/will lose before the number reaches critical mass.

Yeah, Morgan, I don't swear here on the blog often, but this situation warrants it.

The top of the "Recent comments" now says:

"Your switching...
way to go...
Thank (insert...
whoo hoo!"

It now reads, in full from top to bottom:

Way to go,

Poetic perfection I think!
