The second egg was laid January 26, 2026, at about 5 pm Pacific time.
On January 30, 2026, ravens attacked the nest and at least one egg had a big crack in it. Jackie is still incubating, and we will watch to see if she lays more eggs.
It now seems clear that both eggs were destroyed, and that Jackie was only continuing to incubate because that's what her hormones dictated. There's a slight chance they will lay a replacement clutch. If so, we will let you know.
Great excitement! Jackie laid another egg on February 24, 2026!!!
