Moonlighting is finally available to stream – it just arrived on Hulu. I loved its original run and I've wanted to rewatch it for years, but I wasn't willing to pay for DVDs. I was so looking forward to it. And then I streamed the pilot.

Was Bruce Willis' character always such a jerk?

The Expanse: Force Projection

“You and I, we're meant to be out here in the darkness. In the fight. That's who we are. Who we were born to be. Never forget what your name is. The name we share.”

We're now halfway through this final season (*weep*) and things are starting to escalate as the heroes and villains finally went toe to toe in one of the best battles The Expanse has ever done.

But before all that let's check in with little Cara and her resurrection puppies.

The Expanse: Azure Dragon

“Don't worry your pretty little head. That's what I'm here for.”

Damn, did this episode just race by. I had to check the clock when the end credits started playing to make sure 45 minutes really had passed by. It was surprisingly fast paced for what was essentially still a set up episode, although a much stronger one than 'Strange Dogs'.

The Expanse: Strange Dogs

“F**k good. We need better than good.”

I wasn't at all shocked when it was announced that this would be the final season The Expanse, but I was a bit shocked to discover that it would only be six episodes long.

The Expanse: Salvage

"James Holden. Shit just follow you around kid."

This was one busy episode that took the crew of the Rocinante right back to where it all started. The search for "Lionel Polanski" has brought them right back to the same ghost ship we first found Julie Mao trapped in. We watched as they took the same steps she took, following them to the same horrible place.

The lair of a monster.

The Expanse: Windmills

"Welcome to the churn."

This felt like an "Oh crap, we advanced the plot too quickly, we need to hit pause" kind of episode.

The Expanse: Rock Bottom

"You either some kind of genius, Mr. Holden, or you the luckiest dipshit in the solar system."

Dawes is done playing games with Miller. He offered the detective the chance to work for him, but he kept refusing the carrot so now it's time for the electrically charged stick.

The Expanse: Back to the Butcher

"That's an excellent idea. We'll just roll up in a stolen Mickey Corvette with a dead Martian in the trunk. I'm sure they'll roll out the red carpet."

Miller starts putting all the pieces together while the Canterbury survivors plot their next move.

The Expanse: CQB

"I didn't think we could lose."

I'm beginning to suspect that one of the Canterbury survivors might just be a Jonah.

The Expanse: Remember the Cant

"You will do anything to win. Just like your father. That's what got him killed."

The Canterbury survivors learn each other's secrets, Miller starts kicking over ant hills in his quest to find Julie, and Avasarala stabs a friend in the front and back.

The Expanse: The Big Empty

"Water means life. One shipment late, you got protests. Two shipments late, you got dead people in the street. And it's gonna get worse."

The Canterbury survivors fight to stay that way while Miller and Havelock chase after some water bandits.

The Expanse: Dulcinea

"There are no laws on Ceres, just cops."

Right, let's get the ball rolling with some basic background info.

The Expanse: Nemesis Games

“I want you all to take a good look around. This is what Marco Inaros hates. This is what he is afraid of. Why he tried so hard to destroy you and your ship. All we have to do now is turn every Belter, Martian, and Earther into this. This how we win.”

This finale was a mighty feast full of epic space battles, thrilling rescues, shocking twists, surprise deaths, tearful reunions, joyful reunions, painful breakups, and one hell of a tease for season six.

The Expanse: Winnipesaukee

“Business first. Tearful reunions later.”

It's not a real season of The Expanse until Amos gets shot.

The Expanse: Hard Vacuum

“This is Naomi Nagata...Tell James Holden I am in...control.”

One issue I had with Nemesis Games, the book this season is based on, is that it really loses some momentum in the second half. This has also happened with season five, but not really to the same extent thanks largely to the addition of strong storylines for Chrisjen and Drummer.

“Walking away is the only choice anyone ever has.”

Damn, Naomi! Damn!

The Expanse: Tribes

“I need to get back to my crew.”

One of the downsides of having so many different plot threads this seasons is that some weeks we either won't see our favourite characters or just check in with them for a scene or two. In this episode, three of the key players only got a single scene each, and two of them were right before the credits.

The Expanse: Down and Out

“Naomi, I need to know where you are. Things are not good.”

Now that's the understatement of the century.

The Expanse: Gaugamela

“Too bad, so sad. It's gone, gone for good. Bye-bye!”

Wow. Just wow.

We have a strong contender here not just for the best episode of this season, but of the entire series.

The Expanse: Mother

“Everything my father told me about you...is true.”

Don't you just hate it when you go out for a bit of fish spotting and someone drops a great big rock on you?

But I'm getting ahead of myself. There are others things to talk about before we get to the end of world as we know it.
