Falling Skies is a surprisingly realistic take on an alien invasion series airing during the summer on TNT. One of the strengths of the series is the way this apocalyptic scenario has forced "normal" people into unconventional roles -- like the lead, a former history professor turned military leader (Noah Wyle). I also like the continuity and attention to detail, especially in regard to the aliens.
