Nashville

Programming note: Our coverage of Nashville consists of two reviews and a lengthy article.

Nashville (2012-2018) chronicles the life and times of a loosely knit group of musicians in Nashville, Tennessee, focusing on the stress of the music industry, the perils of fame and the hopes and fears of the performers. It stars Connie Britton as Rayna Jaymes, aging country star, and Hayden Panettiere as Juliette Barnes, her up-and-coming rival, filling out the cast with a slew of promising young performers.

While Nashville appeared to be set for a great creative revival with season five, against all odds, the show has sunk lower than most fans who were disappointed by season four could possibly have dreamt up. We have ceased our coverage.
