Young Hollywood Awards 2014

Because there are not enough award shows during the course of the year, Young Hollywood feels the need to recognize its own. This broadcast always makes me feel ancient, mostly because I don't know half the kids who are up for an award. It's a humbling experience. Not to mention that Kelly Osbourne as a host is just painful. Anyway, the winners are:

Fan Favorite Actor, Male: Ansel Elgort
-- Evidently, The Fault In Our Stars is enough to give this kid, who is not even old enough to order a celebratory cocktail, his first Hollywood award.

Fan Favorite Actor, Female: Chloë Grace Moretz
-- This girl is definitely one to watch. Her name keeps popping up in many articles I read about the future of Hollywood.

Coolest Crossover Artist: Nick Jonas

Breakthrough Actor: Dylan O’Brien
-- By far, the most articulate and the most gracious of the bunch.

Breakthrough Actress: Danielle Brooks
-- Yippee for Orange is the New Black. The majority of the cast were there to cheer her win, although her outfit was unfortunate.

#SocialMediaSuperstar: Ashley Tisdale

Best Threesome: Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, The Vampire Diaries
-- I no longer watch this show, but when Ian Somerhalder walked on stage, I nearly changed my mind. Damn, he's handsome.

Hottest Body (Of Work): Derek Hough
-- Plus, the man can truly dance.

Best On-Screen Couple: Shailene Woodley & Ansel Elgort, The Fault in Our Stars

Best Bromance: Jonah Hill & Channing Tatum

Super Superhero: Kellan Lutz
-- Lutz is a pretty good looking guy, but if one wins an acting award, shouldn't one be able to -- I don't know -- act?

Cuz You’re Funny: Amy Schumer

We Love to Hate You: Pablo Schreiber
-- Orange did very well, didn't it?

-- Interesting choice as this would not be the first show I would think of that would appeal to the younger crowd. They went nuts when the cast walked on stage, however.

Champ of Charity Award: Justin Bieber
-- Words cannot express how much I dislike this young man. Having said that, he appeared on this show with a young girl with cancer for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. I still dislike him, but bonus points for doing it.
