Yes, it's still August. Yes, it's Monday night. Neither fact stopped NBC from airing the 66th Annual Emmy Awards tonight.

The EWwy Awards 2014

Entertainment Weekly has issued its EWwy awards for 2014. The magazine/website uses this opportunity to honor those shows that it feels were snubbed by the Emmy nominating committee. It creates a list of the snubees and opens up voting to the public. Greater than 317,000 votes were cast this year, and the winners were:

Young Hollywood Awards 2014

Because there are not enough award shows during the course of the year, Young Hollywood feels the need to recognize its own. This broadcast always makes me feel ancient, mostly because I don't know half the kids who are up for an award. It's a humbling experience. Not to mention that Kelly Osbourne as a host is just painful. Anyway, the winners are:

Comic Con 2014

San Diego Comic Con is the biggest convention of its kind in the world. 130,000 nerds converge on the San Diego Convention Center for four days of solid geeking out. This year, Mark Greig and I were two of that 130,000.

The Television Critics Association (TCA) represents more than 200 professional journalists who cover television for publications across the United States and Canada. Vulture TV Awards 2014

Vulture is the entertainment arm of New York Magazine. It has some wonderful writers and a great daily recap of entertainment news. Over the past week, it has announced its Vulture TV Awards. There are some unexpected choices. There is also a fair amount of spoilers. If you don't want to spoil a show that you have not yet seen, open this post with caution.
