It Welcome to Derry: Winter Fire

"Don't you recognize your little boy?"

I keep thinking of a word to describe how I feel about the episode, and I keep coming back around to "fine." It was fine. There were a few moments that I really loved, but by the end of it all, I was left both firmly whelmed and with the now familiar frustration over certain writing choices.

It Welcome to Derry: The Black Spot

"Do I got face on my face?"

Yes, you did have a bit of face on your face, although that might have been the least concerning thing that happened this episode.

It Welcome to Derry: In the Name of the Father

“It’s gotten to you too.”

This was somehow both really sweet and really disturbing at the same time. It also might be my favorite episode in a while, even if I continue to get annoyed by weird editing and general stupidity. At some point, though, you just have to accept a show for what it is.

It Welcome to Derry: 29 Neibolt Street

“In life, people are either anchors or lifeboats. They drag you under, or they keep you afloat.”

What an appropriate episode to have a line that reminds me of "We all float down here."

It Welcome to Derry: The Great Swirling Apparatus of Our Planet's Function

“He doesn't question orders. I question everything. That's the dance.”

I always get a little nervous when episode titles sound this pretentious, but this episode was much better than I had expected… if we ignore one, massive part.

It Welcome to Derry: Now You See It

"People only believe what they can see for themselves."

Well, at least there wasn't any pregnancy related horror this time around. We've successfully broken that trend!

It Welcome to Derry: The Thing in the Dark

“This isn’t America. This is Derry.”

And Derry really is like no place on Earth. Whoever said last episode that Derry was normal clearly did not know what they were talking about.

It Welcome to Derry: The Pilot

"Well, if normal is what you're after, you two are going to love Derry."

A prequel series to It with a concrete three season plan? Bill Skarsgård returning as Pennywise? And here I thought that spooky season had ended!
