Lost: Sundown

Ben: "There's still time."
Sayid: "Not for me."

I'm sort of in mourning today. I loved Sayid. He was my favorite character. And now he's...um... Lost. That clever Man in Black; he picked the one thing that Sayid would sell his soul for.

Lost: He's Our You

Sawyer: "How are you doing?"
Sayid: "A twelve-year-old Ben Linus brought me a chicken salad sandwich. How do you think I'm doing?"

Son of a gun. They just did the classic time travel question: if you could go back in time and kill Hitler as a baby, would you do it? For Sayid, the answer was, well, yes.

Lost: The Economist

Ben: "Why are you crying? Because it hurts? Or because you were stupid enough to care for her?"

I gasped out loud three times during this episode. So I guess you could say it was a multiple shocker.

Lost: Enter 77

Hurley: "Are we playing with the mercy rule?"

Torture. Redemption. Cows.

Lost: One of Them

Danielle: "You talk to him, Sayid. As I recall, that is what you do."

I don't like episodes about torture. And yet, Sayid is my favorite character. Consider the irony.

Lost: The Greater Good

Shannon: "John Locke killed my brother. Will you do something about that?"

Have I mentioned yet that Sayid is my favorite character?

Lost: Solitary

Nadia: "You'll find me in the next life, if not in this one."

Instant karma for Sayid. Okay, slightly delayed karma. And I'm sort of not kidding about the karma thing. The survivors are definitely working through their issues.
