"Freedom" was a witty, visually stunning, and somewhat satisfying season finale that was also a reasonably good ending for the series.

Yes, it's a viral app that's actually a virus. Cute idea, but aren't there several movies about this particular plot? Seriously, I don't watch horror movies at all and it sounds familiar, even to me.

Sleepy Hollow: Loco Parentis

"Maybe it'd be good to have a father figure around for her."

Or not.

Honestly, this one didn't excite me, and I fell asleep during my initial viewing and had to watch it again. Although it was the right move to give us some backstory on Dreyfuss, and it gave Jeremy Davies, whose work I always enjoy, an opportunity to do something other than act sinister. Sinisterly. With sinister-ness?

Sleepy Hollow: The People v. Ichabod Crane

"Shall we play this game?"

If this one had a theme, it was about the difficulty of parenting while fighting evil.

Sleepy Hollow: Heads of State

"I figured the bastard would show his lack of a face sooner or later."

Best episode of the season so far. And not because of the return of Headless. Although that helped.

Sleepy Hollow: In Plain Sight

"I'm afraid the weirdness has only just begun."

Apologies for the lateness of this review. I'm sort of vacillating about whether or not I want to keep reviewing Sleepy Hollow, especially when the other shows I'm reviewing start returning from the holiday hiatus in a week or so. I hate starting a show and not finishing it, though.

I'm trying to think of a series that has reinvented itself as much as Sleepy Hollow has. Alias? Heroes?

So what did we get this week? A not-so-good Monster of the Week, strike one. Improbable set-up in the woods, strike two. Distinct lack of Ichabod Crane, strike three.

Sleepy Hollow: Dark Mirror

"Did I leave the stove unlocked?"

Honestly, my impatience with Sleepy Hollow this season had been subsiding. But it just crept back and stung me like an absolutely idiotic scorpion tail on a guy with horns.

Sleepy Hollow: Sins of the Father

"You saved me. I'm yours."

A standard Sleepy Hollow Monster of the Week, but with an interesting and unfortunate twist at the end.
