Fan Favorite Awards 2013

TV Guide has just published its annual Fan Favorites Awards. Unlike some of the awards that have been handed out this year, I agree with many of these choices. And, yes, I did vote (she types, blushing slightly). Here they are:

Favorite Comedy: The Big Bang Theory

Favorite Drama: Scandal

Favorite New Show: Arrow

Favorite Classic Show: Star Trek

Favorite Reality Competition Show: The Voice

Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Horror Show: Doctor Who

Favorite Ensemble: The Big Bang Theory

Favorite Actor: Jim Parsons for The Big Bang Theory

Favorite Actress: Kerry Washington for Scandal

Favorite Couple: Beckett and Castle (Caskett) from Castle

Favorite Bromance: Steve and Danny from Hawaii Five-0

Favorite Feud: Thomas and O’Brien from Downton Abbey

Favorite Villain: Klaus from The Vampire Diaries

I think for a list of this sort, they got a lot right. Not to mention that we here at Doux Reviews cover a great number of the shows. What do you think? Agree or disagree? Let us know in the comments.

  1. WOW! It's like we posted a list of *our* favorites. Are we getting closer to the mainstream? I'm used to being left sitting lonely on the bank!

  2. Perfect. Except for Klaus as favourite villain..I'd vote for Joffrey on Game of Thrones. Arrow is my new favourite show. If they had a category for best badass that'd go to Manu Bennett on Arrow.
    Anna

  3. Love these choices: Favorite Drama (Scandal), New Show (Arrow), and Actress (Kerry Washington).

However I DETEST Klaus. I'd go with Anna here and give the award to King Joffrey who is plain despicable yet so entertaining to watch. Klaus just bores me to tears.

And love the Manu Bennet suggestion too!

Thanks for sharing Chris! Very cool!

  4. Oh, Big Bang Theory! Where have you been all my life? As the only three category winner, I thought I would check out what all the fuss is about.

The worst, the absolute worst, part of reviewing all the new shows is that so many producers believe that their viewing audience is stupid. I love the fact that characters in a sitcom can be so OTT smart. And, they are howlingly funny. Not since Frasier have I laughed so hard at a pilot.

    I think I'm in love.

  5. A LOT of people told me to go watch BB Theory. Ah darn it, I have enough shows to follow already.

Buffy and I are looking at our calendar : May is approaching...

  6. I love Big Bang Theory, too. The only sitcom I watch now that Community has crashed and burned.

  7. Oh, and if you're following my other comments (and care, really...) BBT is the other show the hubby and I watch together...so I am not always watching TV by myself ;-)
