Bridgerton: Season Three, Part Two

“It has been quite a journey we have taken together. And so it is with the heaviest heart that I write this final, unbelievably short sentence as Lady Whistledown. Goodbye.”

It’s the end of the show as we know it and I feel fine.

Bridgerton: Season Three, Part One

“She is not drinking the lemonade!”

This review contains spoilers for the first four episodes of season three.

Bridgerton: Season Two

If you’re anything like me, you fell for the first season of Bridgerton. Hard. Regency England with a diverse gentry, string quartet covers of pop hits, and literal sequins? I mean, what’s not to love?

This Week: Dense and Frustrating, Like a Tire Fire

Josie Kafka: What are you watching? Or, if you want to go wild: what aren't you watching, and why not?

This Week: The Sandal Thing

This show is really good
...in which the Agents of Doux gab about the good, the bad, and the sandals that sparked their interest this week.

Bridgerton: Season One

What can I say about Bridgerton?

Well, it is extremely pretty. World class pretty, even. The lead actors, the sets, the costumes, all stunning – so much so that the show doesn't feel real. There's a strong fantasy element to Bridgerton, as if it exists in a parallel universe. It's like a beautifully decorated, sparkling cookie that tastes good, even though it's not like other cookies.

And I know that didn't actually explain anything. I'll try again. (I will not include spoilers.)

Programming note: Season four of Bridgerton arrives in two parts: four episodes on January 29, and four more on February 26.

Bridgerton is an extremely popular Shondaland interpretation of a series of romance novels by Julia Quinn. Set in the early 1800s, the plots are standard Regency but with a delightfully modern twist: a racially diverse cast.

We're covering Bridgerton with season reviews. Sunbunny is our current reviewer. Billie Doux reviewed the first season.
