Discussion: Comfort Watching

I watched Dexter. I watched House of Cards. I watched The Walking Dead. I watched Game of Thrones. I enjoyed all these shows (for a time, didn’t finish any of them). I’ve never been into horror or overly fond of gore but there was a time I was really into dark, premium cable television. Always counterbalanced with lighter fare, but there was a time when a new episode of True Blood was the highlight of my week.

If you’re anything like me, you fell for the first season of Bridgerton. Hard. Regency England with a diverse gentry, string quartet covers of pop hits, and literal sequins? I mean, what’s not to love?

What If... Captain Carter Were the First Avenger?

As a BIG Peggy Carter fan, when What If...? was announced, the concept of Peggy taking up Cap’s shield was pretty much all I cared about. Still is. I’m sure I’ll watch the other ones eventually but like…Peggy, guys. PEGGY! It’s not Agent Carter season 3 and it’s certainly no Captain America 4: Steve plays a stay at home dad to the couple’s twin children while Peggy works at the SSR and the two spend their weekends fighting HYDRA while Uncle Jarvis babysits. Not that I’ve put any thought into that.

I’m just going to say what we’re all thinking: Steve should have given Sharon the shield.

WandaVision: Previously On

Okay, so first I should cop to not reading Marvel comics. I know I’m going to miss stuff here but Mark convinced me to give reviewing this a try so here I go.
