Critics' Choice Television Awards 2015: Nominees

Today, the Broadcast Television Journalists Association announced their nominees for the 2015 Critics' Choice Television Awards. For once, I was pleasantly surprised by some of the nominations. Shows that sometimes get overlooked by other award givers were nominated in important categories.

Critics' Choice Movie Awards 2015

Historically, the Broadcast Film Critics Association hands out its annual awards the evening the Academy announces its Oscar nominees. These awards are given by those whose job it is to review films and let us know which to see and which to not. Although the ceremony was televised this year, I missed it. Ironically, because I was at the movies. Here are this year's winners:

Last night, the Critics' Choice Television Awards for 2014 were handed out in Los Angeles. These awards are the traditional kickoff to the television awards season and give hints as to who may walk home with an Emmy this year. Some of the choices are interesting, some are surprising. The nominees for the The Critics Choice Television Awards 2014 were announced this morning. An interesting list with a few surprises. McConaughey being nominated while Harrelson was not struck me as the most odd choice. The winners will be announced live on the air June 19 on The CW.

Just hours after the Academy handed out its nominations for this year's Oscars, the Broadcast Film Critics Association presented its awards for the best in film for 2014.
