J.D.'s Best of 2015

I'm feeling a little under-prepared this year for my usual best of. My typical movie watching behavior puts me at around thirty films a year, about one every other week. This year, I think I've seen maybe a dozen. Of those, most were pretty darn good, a couple were not so good and a handful were surprisingly wonderful. Since that list isn't as robust as usual, that left me to think up a different kind of "best of" list for this year.

This is my first-ever Best Of, and I was initially a little petrified: but it quickly clarified that I actually had a lot to share, and the concern was more about choosing what to focus on. Here's some books and shows which really struck me in 2015.

Yeah, I should read more but I spend so much time in my own head as it is and honestly, the quality of my life is made so much better from the engagement I have with my computer, tv or movie theater that I spend most of my free time trying to fit everything I want to watch in.
