Well, this was something. Not a spare moment with something happening in every corner of the board but it still somehow felt like mostly filler?

Outlander: The Deep Heart's Core

The bonding and family magic continues until it's over. But is a TV family even a family without at least one misunderstanding followed by a volatile exchange between them? I think not.

Outlander: The Birds & the Bees

For better or worse, when you're cramming an intricate novel into a single season of television there seems to be a big to do in every episode. This week we stood mostly on the for better side of things.

Outlander: Wilmington

I always know that the review is all over the place when this is the last bit that I write. I don't think more could happen in an hour of television – I mean we met freaking George Washington, for crying out loud.

Outlander: Down the Rabbit Hole

Outlander: Blood of My Blood

Talk about your emotional interpersonal journeys.

For an episode that was sort of all over the map in terms of emotional turmoil, it wasn't at all scattered or too much. It was a roller coaster that hit all the right marks. All the necessary feelings. I'm not crying, you're crying.

Outlander: Common Ground

"When I was without you, I held onto thoughts of your face, your words, your heart."

This is my favorite episode of season four so far.

A filler episode if ever I've seen one.
