Discussion: What Are Your Best & Worst of 2025?

The Agents of DOUX have posted their Best of 2025 lists, but that doesn't mean we've got a comprehensive database of the good, the bad, and the weird.

So we're turning it over to you, the Doux Reviews readers: what were your best TV shows and movies this year? What about books? Video games? This is also a great place to talk about the stuff that wasn't necessarily good, but stuck with you in some odd way.

Samantha's Favorites of 2025

I actually didn't consume a lot of entertainment this year, at least when compared to previous years. I have a rather strange list, which is a mishmash of movies, shows, games, actors and their performances that I found to be the best of 2025. I also didn't really want to narrow things down, which sounds lazy except I ended up with list of 25.

I'll keep each entry short (mostly).

Another year nearly done! I’ve accomplished almost none of my goals, but maybe I can learn to knit in the next six days. (Probably not.) I did manage to watch a lot of television, so I guess that’s something to brag about.

Juliette's Best of 2025

I am writing this through a fog of flu, so here’s hoping it all makes some kind of sense! As ever, my body has reached the end of the year and given up, and there are some nasty flu strains around this year. But the big news is that I am going part time at my main job next year, to be available for school runs and teacher training days, and to spend more time on writing and content creation, so with any luck I might finish next year with a tiny bit more energy!

Morella's Best of 2025

For this year end’s "Best Of," I’m going with an oldie but goodie: my top ten episodes of Scooby Doo, Where Are You?. This is the first Scooby Doo series ever made, going back to 1969, and its continued presence on TV was a huge part of my childhood.

I loved Scooby Doo as a kid and still do now. Between classic horror and this show, I get my love for gothic architecture, dark and stormy nights, and haunted places that I retain to this day that I even take to other media, such as finding some great horror themed modpacks for Minecraft, and enjoying custom stories in Amnesia: The Dark Descent.

It was hard deciding what to spotlight, and two of my picks are going to be highly predictable, but here are the books, shows, movies, and games that I loved most in 2025.
