Summer 2017 Premiere Dates

No more pencils no more books
No more teacher's dirty looks yeah
Well we got no class
And we got no principals
And we got no innocence
We can't even think of a word that rhymes
School's out for summer
School's out forever

Gilmore Girls: Summer

"This adult stuff is hard, isn’t it?"

Summer is apparently the time when the problems of Gilmores really show their faces sans make-up or moisturizer and demand to be addressed. Too much sun really does make people crazy.

Our Summer To-Doux List

May is our busiest month what with the finales and all, and then it usually gets a little quiet here at Doux. Not this summer, though. We have a lot of reviews planned for the upcoming summer months and hope that you'll stick around and keep us company.

Let's start with first run summer shows.

Summer 2013: Beach Reads

In cheeky honor of Bloomsday, the annual June 16th celebration of James Joyce’s novel Ulysses, this week’s Doux News has been overtaken by mini book reviews by the Doux Reviews writers. I requested that the writers recommend big, fun, summery books: the type Molly Bloom might love, and Joyce—who allegedly once told a reader she ought to spend nearly a decade reading Ulysses, as he had spent that long writing it—might hate. To which they responded: yes, yes, yes.*

Summer 2013

Summer is traditionally a sad, lonely time in a TV-lover’s life. Faced with the prospect of sunshine, barbeques, and bare legs, we retreat into our caves, lick the wounds left by the emotional highs and lows of the spring finales, and wonder how we can make it to September.

Despair no more! Summer here at Doux Reviews will be a magical tour through the best of television, old and new. Click on for a list of summer premiere dates and a brief glimpse of what the Doux Reviews writing staff will offer up for our internet delectation.
