Nicholas Brendon Passes Away at 54

Nicholas Brendon, who played Xander on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has passed away at the age of 54 from natural causes.

Doux Top Twenty! Number 14: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Agents of SHIELD is number 14 in Doux Reviews’ top hitting television shows.

Since so many of us are Buffy fans, we had to review Agents of SHIELD (2013-2020) when it started. Mark Greig began our coverage, then shared reviewing duties with Sunbunny, and then Lamounier took it on and finished it. So I’ll let Lamounier take over from here.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Brand New Day

Coulson: "Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. going rogue..."
May: "Yeah, I've seen that happen before."

It's the episode before the two-part finale, and all hell breaks loose in the 1980s. Can our heroes fix this? I mean, how will they make people stop calling Nathaniel "sir"?

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Stolen

"Clever, digging up our greatest hits."

The timeline is beyond repair and questions are piling up. We know what the enemy's agenda is, but there is still so much about them that we don't understand.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: As I Have Always Been

"Phlebotinum!"

This is a terrific episode. Great television, from start to finish. Fun, poignant and clever, it's easily the best episode of season seven and a series high.

Lamounier's Best of 2021: The 2021-Free Edition (Almost)

This year we were all kind of stuck in a limbo – yay, things will go back to normal, oh wait, no they won't – and most of what I watched or read was not from 2021. That wasn't deliberate, though, it just happened, and in many ways it was a return to simpler times.

After being unable to deploy her powers as a speedster through the whole season, Elena sees herself in a position where her team needs her to use her powers. Thus, she goes on a mission to retrieve her abilities.

Orphan Black: To Right the Wrongs of Many (Series Finale)

"We really shouldn’t like Sarah."

Those were the first words Sunbunny wrote in her review of Orphan Black's very first episode. There is a certain dramatic irony attached to them because now, in the final episode of the series, Sarah is the one who doesn't like herself.

Orphan Black: One Fettered Slave

John: "The future is female. Haven't you heard?"

In the round of clone-centric episodes, it's time for Helena to get the spotlight and an origin story.

The 100: The Dying of the Light

"Faith doesn't just die. It gets carried forward."

Credit where credit is due, this was a great episode. Riveting, actually, this is the word that kept coming to my mind after I finished watching "The Dying of the Light." I don't remember the last time I watched an episode of The 100 and found it riveting. The final minutes were edge-of-your-seat good.

The 100: A Sort of Homecoming

Madi: "You decided for me. Again."
Clarke: "I decided for everyone. That's what I do."

This was a good episode harmed by previous poor writing decisions.

The 100: The Stranger

"I don't trust you. I do, however, trust the love you have for your friends."

That line, said by Cadogan to Clarke, is Clarke in a nutshell. Her allegiance shifts in a heartbeat if that's what it takes to protect and save those she's chosen as her family. You want to be on the lady's right side. Now we are watching Clarke search a way out of war and do all that is possible to take her loved ones out of danger for the last time. Will she get it done? More importantly, can she get through to Bellamy and save him from himself?

3% (2016-2020) is a Brazilian sci-fi series produced by Netflix. Set in a distant future, it follows the story of young adults that live in the Inland, a place filled with poverty and violence. They have a once in a lifetime chance to go through a process that will select 3% of them to cross to Offshore, a Utopian island they don't know much about. But not everyone is happy with the status quo, and a group called The Cause wants to bring down the Process and end the social divide that exists between the Offshore and the Inland.

"Protect it at all costs."

Previously on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Coulson went to Tahiti, then he had a team. One of them was evil, one had brain damage and another one got to quake things apart. Hydra rose, S.H.I.E.L.D. fell, S.H.I.E.L.D. rose again, another S.H.I.E.L.D. appeared and we called them H.U.F.F.L.E.P.U.F.F..

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: The End is at Hand

"I'm wondering if we changed the timelines or if they change us."

In the first part of the finale, the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. assemble for the final mission.

The 100: A Little Sacrifice

Ever since Monty left his final message to his friends, The 100 has frequently gone back to the question of whether its main group of characters is able to deviate from war and do better. Now that the endgame is approaching, war looks inevitable, but what the remainder of the human race needs might be something else altogether.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: The Totally Excellent Adventures of Mack and the D

"Every team needs a good leader. And I'm just too much of a dreamer."

This episode was absolutely ridiculous. It was ridiculous and had a lot of heart. I loved it.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Adapt or Die

"We are good under pressure."

Well, they really went there with this one.
